Mission Focus started as a dream to serve God by documenting and telling compelling missions stories. Although the scope of such a project presented a daunting task, Brian and Shanna Denton decided to launch out in faith and started Missions Focus in November, 2006. They are joined by videographers and photographers from around the United States who are all committed to telling the story of God’s work in the world.

 

Mission Focus wishes to give Western Christians a glimpse into various cultures and countries through the eyes of Christians around the world. How much does the average Christian know about God's work in other countries?

 

We often look at world events through a "how it affects me" filter. It usually boils down to: how it affects my wallet (gas prices) and health (bird flu), among other things.

 

Through God's work shown in our films, we hope to change people's outlook on world events, so that they start asking, "how does this effect God's kingdom?" And, "How can I be involved?"

 

We don't know all the answers, but we have a God who does. Our goal is to educate Christians in the West about how God is working in other areas of the world so that many are touched to pray, give and go in Jesus' name.
